The Women’s Foundation of Boston economically empowers Greater Boston women and girls through the creation and funding of high impact leadership and economic programs in partnership with nonprofits serving solely women and girls.

Why Women?

As of December 2018, only 1.9% of all US charitable giving is directed towards women and girls. Of that amount 40% is sent overseas - twice the rate of all other giving

Less than 2% of million dollar gifts support women's causes

70% of Boston families living in poverty are led by single women
